Lyon have reportedly rejected Manchester City's first offer for France star Rayan Cherki.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Lyon have turned down City's first bid for Cherki but a second offer is now being prepared. He adds that the 21-year-old is waiting for an agreement between the two teams and is relaxed about the situation.

Cherki appeared to say his move from Lyon to City is "getting done" following France's 5-4 Nations League loss to Spain on Thursday. The right winger, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Premier League side so it may just be a matter of time before he heads to the Etihad.
