Mbappe had been a major star for Paris Saint-Germain having joined Les Parisiens from Monaco in 2017 until this summer. However, since his move to Real Madrid as a free agent, relations have fractured massively between the France captain and the 12-time Ligue 1 champions. Speaking to the media at the ECA Congress, Al-Khelaifi said: "I don't like to talk about players who are not part of my team, I prefer to focus on those who are."
WHAT NEXT FOR PSG?
In the absence of Mbappe, PSG have lost their way a little in Ligue 1. They went into the October international break two points behind table-topping Monaco and return to action next weekend at home to Strasbourg.
