According to Sacha Tavolieri, Fulham have rejected Atalanta’s €40m (£34m/$46m) bid for Muniz, valuing him at €50m (£43m/$58m). The striker is eager to join the Serie A side and has asked Fulham to let him leave this summer.

After selling last season's Serie A top scorer Mateo Retegui to Al-Qadsiah for €80m (£68m/$92m), Atalanta are seeking a new star striker. They considered Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta, who has one year left on his contract, but failed to agree on a fee. CEO Luca Percassi travelled to London to negotiate with Fulham for Muniz, though Atalanta face strong competition from Leeds United, who are also keen on the striker.
