Sports Reporter08-Feb-2003PIA looked on course for an emphatic innings victory after forcing Rawalpindi to bat again on an eventful second day of the second semifinal of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy National Cricket Championship at UBL Sports Complex on Friday.Rawalpindi reached stumps at 104 for four in their second innings after being shot out for only 79 in the first with spinners Nadeem Khan and Shoaib Malik virtually unplayable.Rawalpindi still need 209 runs to avoid the distinct possibility of innings defeat.As many as 19 wickets fell for 189 runs after PIA had added exactly 50 to the overnight total of 336 for five.PIA, in fact, lost the last five wickets for the addition of only six runs once the sixth-wicket pair of Bazid Khan and Moin Khan were separated.Moin, the PIA skipper, and Bazid resumed at 63 and 56 respectively while carrying their stand to 171 in 148 minutes having come together on Thursday afternoon at 215 for five.Moin went for 81, followed by Shoaib off the very next ball.
